PANORAMIC FLIGHT OVER THE 4,000-METRE PEAKS, AOSTA VALLEY

That morning, after a night of rain and fresh snow, we took a panoramic flight over the four-thousand-metre peaks of the Aosta Valley: an extraordinary sight.

The snow-covered summits shone in the dawn light, from Monte Rosa to the Matterhorn and Mont Blanc.

The view was so powerful that it moved us to tears.

An experience of peace, strength and pure beauty.

AUTUMN, Gressoney

In autumn, Gressoney slows down. The light becomes warm and low, the colours flare before gradually fading, and silence accompanies nature’s transformation.

It is a suspended season of transition, when the woods prepare for winter and every detail speaks of expectation, stillness and breath.

BIVOUAC MAMO & SELLA RIDGE, MONTE ROSA

Our adventure at Bivouac Mamo and on the Sella ridge was unforgettable. We crossed the glacier early in the morning and climbed a small ridge to reach this hidden shelter overlooking the Gressoney valley.

We were alone with the mountain. The following day, before sunrise, we followed the Sella ridge towards the summit of the eastern Lyskamm.

Our cameras preserved every moment of these intense and emotional days.

PASCAL BIVOUAC, MONT BLANC

Pascal Bivouac is one of those places where the landscape seems to open without limits. After the climb, the silence and the view towards the Mont Blanc massif reduce everything to its essentials.

We photographed the changing mountain light, from the final colours of sunset to the cold tones of dawn, when the summits slowly emerge from the shadows.

A simple and intense experience, far from everything, suspended between earth and sky.

ROTHORN, MONTE ROSA

A fifty-thousand-star hotel overlooking Monte Rosa.

We pitched our tent above the Hockene Stei pasture, on one of the most beautiful viewpoints around Gressoney, and photographed the landscape from sunset onwards.

During blue hour the first stars appeared, the tent glowed in the dark and the last light still touched Monte Rosa.

These images explore Gressoney through its changing seasons: snowy winter landscapes, golden autumn woods, spring streams, green summer meadows and clear blue-hour nights beneath Monte Rosa.

MARGHERITA HUT, MONTE ROSA

After the first lockdown, we spent two nights in the winter room of the Margherita Hut, looking for the peace that only direct contact with nature can offer.

We started from Staffal with heavy backpacks and spent the first night at the Mantova Hut.

The following day we climbed towards Europe’s highest mountain hut.

The days that followed were unforgettable: silence, snow, glacier light, dawn, sunset and an incredibly starry sky.

“GLIDERS”, THROUGH THE SNOW

We venture into hidden places where the snow is still untouched and far from crowded pistes. At dawn or sunset, light and winter landscape merge into an almost surreal atmosphere.

Nothing compares with skiing through fresh snow and leaving only your tracks behind. These are moments understood by those who love moving through the mountains in complete harmony with their surroundings.
